What is a Keepsake Urn?
A Keepsake Urn is a small urn that holds a small portion of remains. Most keepsake urns hold less than 50 cubic inches of remains. Keepsake urns are a great option when there are several family and friends that would like to have a portion of your loved ones remains.

 

How is my Urn Sealed?
The majority of the urns listed are semi-permanently sealed by screws that hold the base or some type of access panel on the urn. The screws allow you to re-open the urn at a later date if you wish. Possible reasons for reopening an urn could be as follows: to add the remains of another loved one, or to add a special momento in with the remains such as a watch or a ring. You can also choose to have your urn permanently sealed with a regular epoxy adhesive that you can find in any hardware store. Simply apply the epoxy around the rim of the access panel, and then securely fasten the panel on to the urn. Who Puts the Ashes into my Urn?
When you receive the cremated remains back from the crematory or funeral home, the remains are normally contained in some type of plastic bag and a cardboard container. We recommend keeping the remains in the plastic bag, and then placing them into the urn. This procedure can be completed either on one's own or through the funeral home or crematory which provided you service.
